Fender 3150 Original Bullet's are great for the player who wants a full, warm tone and and the soft, comfortable feel of days gone by. Nothing compares to pure nickel and that's what the windings on the 3150's are.
So what's a Bullet? Most strings are wound around a little "ball" on one end that secures the string to the guitar bridge. Hence, the term "ball-end strings". Fender has the only string that uses a "bullet-end", which is a small piece of brass soldered or welded (not sure how they do it) to the string end. The bullet-end is designed to fit precisely in the tremolo block to ensure that the string returns to the same spot even after heavy tremolo use. The end of your tuning problems could be on the end of these strings!
